That will prolong his career. Best move IMO. Not just Mariners.... but AL.

He can play the field for a while and be a DH on the days he needs the rest.

Thats awesome! Its going to be pretty amazing to see him in a Mariners uni again. That first game should give many quite a chill

No way. From the way it started and how it finished, I'd say it was a good offseason. We'll get an OFer one way or another. We're not allowed to stick 8 guys on the field.

PEORIA, Ariz. (AP)—Ken Griffey Jr. has decided to return to the Seattle Mariners.

The decision came after an apparent agreement with the Atlanta Braves fell through, a person with knowledge of the negotiations told The Associated Press on Wednesday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the Mariners had yet to announce the deal. The contract is for one year and is believed to be worth $2 million in base salary, plus incentives. The 39-year-old Griffey is fifth on baseball’s career home-run list with 611.

Very disappointed...especially since Griffey was the one who contacted the Braves to let them know he wanted to play for them. Could be a blessing in disguise though...the Braves should just put that money into Edmonds who put up better numbers than Griffey last year anyway.
