I'd be interested to find out as well, I've recently started looking for one of those.

I've only got one now but I've owned 3 or 4. I've bought them from 76 to 200+. I've seen them sell for 300+ though within the last year. You can get one for 150, ylaf always has one listed.

I've never seen any colors other than teal. When they first appeared, they were very tough, either 1:800 packs or 1:2500, can't remember, with 3 cards in the set, which was pretty rare at the time. However, they came out through other means. I pulled a Frank Robinson POH bat card from 1999 Ionix that was damaged. I sent it in for replacement and they sent me the Griffey jersey instead. Replacing a card with a rumored 350 print run with a 2-year-old jersey card seemed odd to me, but I wasn't complaining given the BV of the Griffey. I mentioned that to a big dealer at a show later on and he said,"They [sic] still doing that?" So I imagine that had been going on for a while, and still was for a while afterwards.

IIRC, an article appeared in Beckett way back then and the question was asked how many swatches you get out of a jersey and they said 300-400. Of course, there's no telling how many jerseys they had.

Wow, the Ordonez jersey sells for $1.50? Ow. I always wanted to complete the set and I guess I can for about $15.

I remember an image from an old beckett where the patches were cut off and separated so that only the teal portion was used for the cards. I wonder why the griffey outsells the gwynn by so much.

You can make a lot more jersey swatches from a Gwynn jersey (size 56) than a Griffey (Size 44) !!!

Being a Gwynn fan forever, I always got teased about that!!!
