I'd heard this was the case, but wasn't for sure.

I was told they're all redemptions. Hope not.

I have a friend who works in the Nationals organization at Syracuse in the summer. He said Strasburg paid pitcher Adam Carr to sign some of his cards.

I have an Adam Carr autograph, does that mean it was signed by Strasburg?

Sounds like the old Tommy Heinsohn/Bill Russell switch-a-roo

Wouldn't be shocking, fans up in Syracuse loved that Strasburg blew out his arm because he treated the fans there like crap. I went to a few games and he basically insulted a young kid in the parking lot. Lot of people were saying karma's a bitch when they found out he blew out his elbow.

He was like that in college.. Stras might be a believer in karma now but that would be a ****** move if Carr did sign some but I think the fakes would be pretty obvious

doubt that. When I do signing for UD I have to watch the guy the entire time. WAAAY to much money involved today to let anyone sign for them.

Plus, isnt Topps notorious for what they go through? I have a feeling the post was a joke.

the sale price is WAY more shocking than the fact that is a redemption.

Don't get me wrong, Strasburg is one of a kind....he's amazing, he's already shown that. But what if he's the next Kerry Wood? (in terms of hype/talent/injury/career-wise?

This card COULD be a $10 card in 2016. And someone just dropped $400 on it.

But what if its a set collector?

if they are building a set to KEEP, i would totally wait a year or two to complete my set in hopes of the price going down.

if for some reason it goes up in the future and i have the cash to spend $400 on ONE card to complete a set, im willing to gamble it comes down in the future than go up

it could be a fake sale to inflate the value of anything else strasburg someone might have pulled

it happens all the time really

As far as strasburg having a ghost signer, it's not probable, he hasn't signed enough for card companies to get sick of it yet.

It wasnt a fake sale, it was sold legitimately, on a buy it now best offer, and the guy already paid, the reason i know is because it was mine, along with all the rest on the bay. busted 5 cases today, and was pretty happy with the break and results, feel free to take a look if you havent had a chance yet. thanks guys

maybe but i doubt it
selling as much as i do and listing early always pays off and i have never had that happen, why would he, it was the only one he pulled
so unless he throws another up...
i don't think that happens often otherwise I'd have a lot of non-payers and relisted items

BUT $400 seems high however if TC can go $200 out the gate, why not 4400 for this?

names Bryan, by the way, and breaking way better then previously stated, i will say though. there are very color full cases like my first 3, and very blah cases like my last 2, but if you hit a color case, your set.

Can you give a couple of exmples how the breaks are better than odds stated?

Have you had any boxes with multiple autos in them?
