Against the Yankees, the hottest team in the world for going on three months.

And he wasn't totally happy, due to the walks.

Halladay dominant vs Yanks

Wow, what a game for Doc. CG shutout, allowed 1 hit while striking out 9 and walking 3.

He was throwing wiffle balls tonight. Even the pitch that Pena hit for a double broke a foot or two down and in.
Very impressive performance.

And Jeter was not in the lineup, shows how important he is.

I didn't understand that move. It's September! Rest time is over.

Halladay was on fire today.

Very impressive performance.

He threw some cutters that appeared dead straight for about 58 feet and then just slid across the plate.

The only time I've ever seen him more dominant was a two-hitter vs. the Twins. Only two baserunners reached on infield singles.

Even with his last three starts before this and Cliff Lee's first 5 starts, I still think the Phillies were fools not to give up whatever the Blue Jays wanted for 1 1/2 years AT LEAST of Halladay.

We'll see come playoffs.
