I'm biased, but it seems crazy to me to say you would take Tulo over Hanley. Tulo is easily better defensively, but how many runs does Tulo stop that Hanley wouldn't? Now, how many of those runs are meaningful? How many wins does Tulo generate on defense over Hanley? Offensively they aren't close. Hanley has a VORP of 66.2 this season, which is only behind Pujols (75.6) and Mauer (66.4). Tulo has a VORP of 36.7, right between Willingham and Choo.

Yeah, I saw this last night, and VORP is a pretty good stat. I'm surprised there is that much difference between the two, but it's hard to argue against...

Like I said, I'll take them both and Hanley can play 3B! Hell, from what I've seen that guy could probably play any other position with a little bit of practice.
