I think Harper is going to cause a spike in the stock market. Consumer spending is up.

WOW.

Does anyone else ever think that the market on Chrome autos was set unrealistically high because the first big Chrome auto was Pujols? When I see sales like these I always wonder if people are chasing the next Pujols. There were only 500. No matter how good someone gets there won't be another Chrome auto like Pujols (not counting supers and reds). There are too many autos between base and all the parallels to reach Pujols levels.

This is in no way a slam on Harper. But there isn't anyone who's base auto gets $300. I can't even think of anyone off the top of my head that gets $150. Other than the Lawrie SP.

I saw this sale also and it doesn't shock me at all. If he makes the team out of spring training, or just has a good spring, I could see raw chromes going crazy. He's already getting plenty of hype from MLB Network so I'm just waiting to see how high these Auto's can get. Hopefully high enough that I can trade my Harper's (minus a few PC) for a nice high-end Jordan.

He's already getting plenty of hype from MLB Network so I'm just waiting to see how high these Auto's can get. Hopefully high enough that I can trade my Harper's (minus a few PC) for a nice high-end Jordan.

I was watching it and wasn't too surprised either. It was a really nice centered copy. I could of gone for more in my opinion and they were already averaging $270-$280 on so so centered ones.

I agree, the re-explosion is right around the corner.

Or you could do like me. I always hit it just right so that I got about $100 back from the feds each year, and owed the state about $20. I had my money all year, but never did get an awesome bonus from uncle sam. It's pretty boring doing it that way.

when i worked for osram we had a great 401k, and i would talk to these knuckleheads who would put 3% in and not even get the full
company match, but get 4000 back in february. i used to ask them how they could lend the govt 80 bucks a week and not have that
money working for them. very few people ever seemed to understand what i was trying to ask them.
I hated working with those clucks.
