The Gold Auto BGS 9.5 that Beckett was selling above sold for $1925 with 6 bids.

A Harper Orange Auto BGS 9.5 sold for $3250 off of ebay.
Proof you don't need "extra exposure & traffic" and the 25-35% middleman gauge??

Ok, so as AJBRAVES already questioned about.... Why in the hell are the BC Harper Ref. Auto's selling for damn near base levels?

Another Ref. Auto just sold via BO of $365.
Base autos are running $300-$340.

I would love to know the answer to that very question. I'll just have to wait and see. One ended last night for $449 and there's this one

If I were you guys, I would track closely the ink on the autos when wondering why some sell for better or worse. The ink on these this year have been inconsistant and can be brutal. Just a thought.

Oh absolutely.
Centering and streaky ink kill most of them.

And The season begins....

April 4th... Ref. Auto BGS 9.5 - $375
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-BOWMAN-CHR ... 256edd5429

April 5th ... Ref. Auto BGS 9.5 - $640 (AAA Debut. 1B, 2B, SB)

The buyer backed out 8 hours later. He claimed to have been "confused" while looking at Eric Hosmer Cards. Total ****** move. I'll have it relisted soon.
Shame. Sorry.

That sucks about the buyer BCA. That was the first ref 9.5/10 sale in months it seems. The ref autos are tough 9.5s. Pop report for Harper shows only 17 ref 9.5, as opposed to 29 blue and 82 base. Pattern is similar for Moore with 13 ref 9.5, 15 blue, and 100 base.
A lot of the Harper ref 9.5s also have 9 autos for some reason-maybe it was the pen or the way he stacked the cards.

Buyer must be completely stupid then. Obviously that's not Hosmer and second Hosmer doesn't even have base refractor autos. Tough to swallow man. Sorry.
