Was just now leaving feedback for a few cards that came in the mail today and had this very strange thing happen..Its related to the communication part of the feedback..Its something similar to leaving feedback for shipping charges if you dont charge shipping or the same with the delivery time thing..the message said the following:

***This question isn't applicable because we didn't see any direct messages between you and the seller.***

...the strange part for me was the very next couple of item's I was leaving feedback for, I also didnt have any direct messages either..So anyone know what the deal is?? I'm more or less curious to see if the seller(s) is somehow circumventing the feedback system or is this something legit/new??

Anyone??

I think it has to do with when the item was purchased. Was it the latest purchase that didn't allow you to leave stars for communication?

Regardless, I saw this this AM when leaving feedback. The newest item won didn't allow me to leave stars there.

If they have 1 day handeling and provide a tracking number to ebay the next business day after payment, and you don't initiate contact with the seller, they get automatic 5 stars. New policy.

Point being, what communication did you need? They provided a tracking number the day after you paid, and you didn't ask them anything = take the power out of the hands of stupid ebay buyers and give the seller the 5 stars they deserved.

.............Sorry but I think your looking into this way too much...Re-read what I original posted and all I was asking was if anyone knew if this was a new issue/policy type thing, because I have never seen this before...Thats it, simple!!

It is a new policy, as Jeff D alluded to above. I thought it wasn't going into effect until June. Guess they decided to implement it early. I personally like this, as I've been given 3 or 4 stars in the past by idiot buyers that got their items on time and without problems, but they expected me to send them personal e-mail updates every 6 hours or something...

I do wonder if ANY message would nullify this automatic 5 star, i.e a simple "thanks" note or just a "let me know when it ships" type message.
