Has there ever been a MLB Umpires subset or insert set?

I think it would be cool! It would be way more connected to the game than annoying Rip Girls cards. I think it would even be cooler than mascot cards, which I don't think are horrible. I personally would be way more stoked to pull a CB Buckner autograph than "Bowman Scout" anyday!

they offered auto'd umpire cards in the 2000 Bowman Retro/Future set which look identical to the card posted above.

There was also a 20-umpire auto set in 2004 Bowman Heritage, both blue and red inks. I think there is a complete set of blues right now with a BIN under $100. Erig Gregg (the plump ump) also had an auto in 2004 Topps ATFF.

I have a few of the blue autos from the Heritage set. They are available if you need them.

I need to pick up one of those Augie Donatelli cards....My cousin married his son! I keep forgetting they are out there. And just so I am not called out for this...it would not be for a autograph I would need the card because Augie died years ago. Just kinda cool to have a card of someone in the "family".

I also recall a set made of only umpires sometime in the late 80s or early 90s. It was one of those Larry Fritsch, Renata Galasso type sets. Anyone else remember that?

Looks like sets (with binders) and singles are available on Ebay. Search "1989 umpire" and you'll find 'em. At first glance, the set looks fairly nicely designed. (I think my dad bought this set when it came out...)
