I like what I have seen of him although thats not much.

I think sometimes we over-analyze players.

I dont think OBP is that important when it comes to a 23 y/o catcher.

I am much more interested in how he calls a game and how he holds runners (maybe some Colorado fans can chime in here).

A 23 y/o catcher with 25 hrs, 70 rbi, and a .265 avg doesnt seem too bad considering hes throws out runners at a higher % than the league average.

Only other thing I would care about is how he handles a staff!

Coming into tonight he has had 3 hits in each of his last 4 games, going 12-17. Gets a day off and what does he do? Home run in first at bat tonight.

.276 27 70 line for the year

OBP is getting better, up to .316

and remember, he wasn't even the starting catcher until halfway through the year. Only has 366 at bats.

That's what I am saying. Not sure how they haven't even seen a little bump. He is a legit ROY candidate. His OPS blows Harper's out of the water.
