Have You Ever Got a Damaged Replacement- For a Damaged Card?

A while back I was in ballerskrip's 2008 EEE break (the one that caused a slight controversy). I got a Rick Porcello Auto that was factory damaged by the rollers.

So I sent the card to Donruss/Panini and they took their time replacing it (thankfully not as long as Topps or UD). I was actually please to hear they would stamp out a card (same serial #ing) and use a fresh sticker auto to remake (replace) my damaged card. I was hoping I wouldnt have to settle for a crappy replacement.

So I finally get the card in the mail late last week. The card is actually in worse condition than the one I sent into them. Instead of a long roller line, I ended up with two BENT corners...I mean looks like they tried to fold the card. And the sticker was not a fresh one, it was the original one, which they peeled off of the old card and put on the new card. The problem with that is the corner they peeled first its crinkled and folded, and the autograph is rubbed away.

WTF?! Somebody really thinks this card is a suitible replacement. I could have sold the old card discounted for the roller mark, but this card I cant sell without practically giving it away.

Here is where things get interesting... I called to talk to somebody about it, and the guy on the phone starts to accuse me of attempting to remove the sticker so that I can use it for my personally made counterfeit card. WTF!!!!!

I am still waiting for a supervisor/manager to call back. Who the hell is this guy to think he can talk to customers that way? The nerve just cost them a loyal and devoted customer.

Not they, but just one SOB POS AHOLE.

I have never had a bad experience with Donruss, but since Panini took over this is my second FAILED experience. And the fact that nobody there seems to care about calling me back just means that they dont care about the thousands I spend on their products each year. It happens, but I didnt expect it from Donruss/Panini...UD or Topps sure, they like to creep up behind you quietly and just screw you dry and violent and never even say goodbye when they are done.

No scans since I dont own a scanner, times like this I wish I did. I mailed it out this morning from my company mail department, and I am going check to see if I can get it back to scan it here at work.

I sent a letter with the card to Panini, expressing my concerns, disappointment, and shock of being accused for counterfeiting cards. I was told to specifically address the package to Natalie Rose (customer service Supervisor?). I dont even know how they could make it up to me, I dont know if they can.

For now, I am going to lunch and drown my anger in Buffalo Wild Wings.

I am sure they will make it right and send an apology along with some free stuff. In my limited expereince with them they have had amazing custoemr service and will do what ever possible to right this wrong.

I did with 08 donruss threads and didn't have a problem. They made a new card like you and came to me very minty! That sucks that they sent you that, maybe third time is a charm? :shock:

I did from upper deck.

Opened a box of Upper Deck Special FX and pulled a auto of Jeff Harris - worth 1 buck - maybe

It was creased all over.

Sent it back and they sent me a 08 Series one auto of Wesley Wright - 2 bent corners and a even bigger crease.
I sent the card back with a letter and they sent me 2 Boxes of 08 Docuementary.

Pretty Happy With there customer service

Although I am less angry about this morning, I am full! Nothing like using 24 Boneless Medium Sauce wings to help take the edge off.

Hopefully I get a call from somebody soon, I really want to hear what they have to say.

I want an apology for sure. As for the free stuff, I am not really interested in a couple of free packs...I just want the Porcello to be corrected and sent to me sooner than the standard of 6-8 weeks.

Panini took over the company, but a huge % of the employees carried over, including CS.

And holy crap dude!! 24 boneless wings? I'm a big dude, and I can eat, but I've NEVER ordered more than 12. :lol:

I had breakfast this morning so my order was smaller than usual. Every thursday I order 32. I am not a big guy really, I jsut eat A LOT!

6'1" - 205-210ish it moves around a lot - medium build, just a little over weight, but not close to fat.

I recommend all of their food. Its all chained so its the same sauce, but its good! I go every thursday.

Based on my experiences, calling them or emailing them does not work. Neither does just sending in the damaged item.
They are actually very easy to deal with and very accomodating in the free stuff category when pressed.
What you have to do is go to their website and create an account:

Once you have an account you can track your redemptions and replacements pretty easily, also, you can communicate with them on the forms there. I've had issues with about 5 different cards in the last 6 months, and they have made right by all of them, and they have sent free packs to compensate for my shipping costs. I can actually say that if I pull a damaged card, I hope it is from Panini.

Oh i know! I am a big fan (garlic parm especially), I work 8 seconds from the one up here in Windsor, so when you mentioned it earlier i said to myself "hmmmmmm.....wings???" but alas, did not have enough time

I have had an account set up with them for a while now, its how I have taken care of my redemptions and damages in the recent past. I am still waiting on a few redemptions...A couple of which I am hoping are busts so that I can ask for replacements.

Also I have a scan now, but I cannot post it unless somebody wants to recieve it in an email and post it for me. My work blocks photobucke.
