Have You Ever Overpaid on Purpose?

Definition of player collector:

"Person who overpays for their said player when need be."

There have been plenty of times I have had to overpay for Chavez cards, and its not really taking into consideration beckett value but more of what I would be willing to normally pay.

Actually I've never over-paid....I enter what I think the card is worth and hope I win it for less.

If by over pay you mean over high beckett value then yes I have purposely overpaid many, many, many, many times.

I've done it a few times for Kemp cards. Most recently, $28 DLVD for a 09 UD GU Patch. It's the only one that had popped up on the bay so far.

also, if a 08 Heroes Red Jsy /100 ever pops up, i'll be 'overpaying' for that too.

I've done so plenty of times for Olerud cards. There has been many instances that Olerud's rarer cards have gone for more then the big name guys with similar print runs. Sad part is I had competition on many of those cards.

Yes I over pay if I really want the card and if it is rare. I do look at the book price to see what it books for. I find many collectors do use the guide and don't like to go over high book so I'll often purposely bid over high book to make sure I get it.
