After many years of struggling to win a ring he finally won one tonight. Many people talked about him possibly never winning. But about a decade after being draft he won. He just had to team up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.... but that doesnt matter anymore.

Congrats to Eddy Curry!! 2011-12 NBA Champion. :D

Now he has as many rings as Adam Morrison...but more than Karl Malone, John Stockton, Charles Barkley and Allen Iverson. :grouphug:

Lefraud couldn't do it on his own....You'll be seeing Durant alot in the finals. A team that was crap two years ago. He'll get it done quicker.

Saw this last night:
Jordan won his first NBA Finals MVP at age 28. Kobe won his first at 30. LeBron won his at 27.

I'm kinda surprised it's done almost nothing for his RCs. They are selling for less now with a ring than they did in the past.

Your team does though. The team he had in Cleveland was much worse than either Kobe or Jordan.

If the team he had in Cleveland was that bad and ended up having the "best" record two yrs in a row and making the Finals one year, what does that say for every other team out there.

How bad of a team could Cleveland have been to win that many games? Must not have been as bad as Miami since he won more games in CLeveland than he did in Miami!!

I think that says more about the individual than the team. It takes a team to win in the playoffs. A single superstar can only take a team so far.

While I agree that basketball is a team sport, there is no way to determine that Lebron took the Cavs that far without the support of the rest of the team.

It just gets old to listen to everyone say that Lebron did everything and no one else contributed to the point that Lebron was the only person playing on the floor during those wins? Really?

Secondly, it seems like Lebron fans will never blame lebron for falling short. Its always someone elses fault. Usually goes like this...

"Lebron could not win in Cleveland because he had no support" Therefore, When the Cavs had the best record it was all because of Lebron. When the Cavs advanced in the playoffs it was all Lebron. But when the Cavs lost in the playoffs its not lebrons fault, its the garbage team he has.

That gets old. If you Lebron is the reason for them winning, then he must be the reason for them losing. Ive stated this before, Lebron needed more time to mature and gain experience in the playoffs. No one said he couldnt do it, I just said he needed time to developing what it takes to get there. Doesnt hurt to have a few all stars playing with you either.

But im sure we're going to hear it more often than not.. If Lebron doesnt win a ring next year, I wonder if he will be to blame or will the buck be passed off once again to someone else as the excuse as to why they couldnt win. My point being, the star player must take the good with the bad!!

I agree with a lot of what you're saying. It seems time after time a team/player needs to have their heart broken in the finals or deep in the playoffs before they mature enough to be able to win it all. That's what OKC has to take out of this year.

I don't think Lebron won by himself in Cleveland, but the players he relied on in the regular season seemed to disappear in the playoffs. Didn't Mo Williams completely shrink in the playoffs after having an all star regular season? I also think it's easier to win with one player in the regular season because it's a less physical game during the season. LeBron took more of a physical beating during the playoffs and as it progressed he started to lose a step. How many times can a player score 28 of their teams final 30 points in a row like he did in detroit.

LeBron is far from perfect. He totally quit his last year in Cleveland against Boston. He was his own worst enemy forcing ownership to bring in help which lead to overpaying for lesser players, rather than waiting for the right player. His off the court decisions are often poor when it comes to his public image. I just feel that a lot of the negative stuff isn't his fault. He's incorrectly compared to Jordan, so anything less than that and he's a failure. He's the best basketball player on the planet, but he's more Magic than MJ.
