Heck of a find

went to my grandmas house today and looked through my dads old stuff.Found a ton of old newspapers in great condition.And then there were these.

There were 3 yogi berra autos
There was also a mantle but he didnt want me to bring it.

you should haveone of the guys that make those custom cut cards make some for you , those would look sweet

you should haveone of the guys that make those custom cut cards make some for you , those would look sweet

I could probably make the cuts myself(pretty good with photoshop) but I like them as is.

I have thought about it but dont feel like paying 10.00 per to get them slabbed.
I agree. No reason to get them slabbed unless you're selling them. Sweet find.

My dad was a pretty big collector in the 70's-90's but slowed down since then but he got these from an owner of a candy store back in the 60's.My dad used to go to the store for gum and whatever other candy they had in the 60's and the guy would give my dad and his friends some cards every time they went.The guy died in the mid 70's and didnt have any family so he gave all the photos,index cards and baseball cards to my dad.The candy store owner was friends with many great ball players like Mantle and DiMaggio and had picture with them at their summer homes.Pretty interesting life.

Very cool. Looks like a nice start to a HOF index card collection to me ;)
