Help me win on Pro-Line tomorrow!!!!

Up here in Canada, we are allowed to bet on NFL Football games at any local convenience store, its called Pro-line. I usually buy several tickets every weekend and this week i figure i would come and ask the football boards for some help.

The rules are quite simple, you must pick the winners/losers of at least 3 games up to a maximum of 6 games. They also have a rule that any game that is within 3 points is considered a Tie, which you can pick as well. So all wins are 4 points or more.. Your bet has to be a minimum of $2 and you can bet as high as you want.

Below is a list of tomorrows games, with the official Proline odds beside each team. the odds for a TIE (within 3 points) are at the end. The way you find out how much your potential prize can be is to multiply the odds of at least 3 games (to a maximum of 6 games) that you picked and then multiply that by how much you bet (minimum of $2).

For example....

I pick GB 1.15 odds to win, I pick Dallas 1.25 to win and i pick Philly 1.50 to win.

So 1.15 X 1.25 X 1.50 X $2 bet = $4.32 potential prize

Keep in my mind if you pick all favorites (low odds), the potential prize will be very small, so it is a good idea to throw in a high odds underdog or a Tie here and there.

So please give me who you guys think are some great picks!!! If i happen to win a big ticket or two, i will definitely buy some boxes to give away on the Football boards!!!

StL @ Oak (3.3), Ari @ Atl (3.5), and NE @ NYJ (3.1) to tie. 35.805 x your bet

I may be crazy, but that's what I'd do.

Not sure I grasp the entire points/tie thing.....
but from what I can gather - 3 I'd probably go with - GB over Buff. , Dallas over Chi. , and even though I'm normally not a big fan of Road-Favs. Phi. over Detroit.

A win is 4 points or more. A tie is within 3 points,

These are good picks, but the odds are very low, so you wont make very much money.

GB is 1.15 Dallas is 1.25 and Philly is 1.50

so 1.15 X 1.25 X 1.50= 2.16

2.16 X $2 bet is only $4.32

Cool. That's what I thought, but wasn't sure.......I see then why my picks wouldn't pay out much since it's basically a 4 point line then for each. That's pretty awesome you can just legally buy tickets like that......I'm jealous. Or maybe it's a good thing we don;t have that here, I'm not even a huge gambler (on sports) but I think it would be too much to resist if I could run to the corner=store and do that every Sunday. Would waste a lot of money.

LOL!!! Im not a big gambler either, might hit up the casino 2 or 3 times a year, but once NFL season starts im buying Pro-Line tickets every Sunday. Actually me, my GF and about 5 of our friends all buy a bunch of tickets together so its a lot of fun. I end up spending about $20 a week. If its a week that has several good games i like i might end up buying several tickets and spending $50-$60. You should see the lottery booths in the stores about 15-30 minutes before the early games start. Theres always a whole whack of people in there buying tickets and sharing picks.


Most i ever won was $1600, that was about 7 years ago now. Ive also a had about 5 tickets of more than $400.

Last weekend my GF ended up winning $140 on her ticket off of a $5 bet.

Nice!!!! I like your ticket as well. I had no idea the odds are different (better) in BC, i feel im being cheated now, lol.

I lived in Edmonton most of my life and it used to be the other way around. Alberta odds were higher.....people there must have been winning too much. I felt jipped when i first moved to BC.

Each lottery group has their own odds. Each lottery group calls the sports bets by a different name.. here it is oddset not pro-line or sport select. You can search for Sask lottery and Ontario and see their odds as well. Im not sure who would have the best.

I used to play proline, but it's absolutely terrible odds.

May I suggest just grabbing a $100 VISA Gift Card from your local Shoppers Drug Mart or whatever and signing up for Bodog. If you're just $10 a week type guy, that'll do you just fine.

Otherwise, the RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) has a VISA Card that you can throw whatever you want on it up to a couple grand, I think. I don't use my real VISA because I'm paranoid as hell and I don't mind throwing down $6.50 to grab a cheap temporary one.

The money comes from Machester England via UPS and takes about 2-3 days and you get one check per month. If you're anything like me, you just leave the money in there anyways and don't withdraw winnings more than once a month anyways.

The odds on Bodog aren't the best out there, but I can vouch for its simplicity and payment methods.

By the way, they have issues with MASTERCARD, I believe. I think you need VISA.
