on a side note, is that Appleton, WI? If so, I was planning on heading down that way today. Any good shops in the area?
marterburn said:It's from the 1997 "Score White Sox" issu. There were parallels within those according to Beckett, with the Platinum x4 base and Premiere x20.
According to this listing, what you have is the platinum.

so, not really so rare, but a cool card nonetheless.

It doesn't say Platinum on the card at all. It says Premier Club 5 of 15.

yeah, then it's the premiere. most people who list stuff from the 90s don't know what they're listing. I was just researching.
so that griffey is probably a steal for someone, as it books for $60
marterburn said:ah then the platinum has a silver finish and the premiere a gold. really tough to tell on the griffey, so it's probably a platinum like the seller indicates.
but yours is a pretty rare card then, congrats!
