I'm still trying to solve the mystery of if I happen to have part of the other 90% in my hands. This rip card is tearing me apart limb by limb by me not opening it up.

I notice you have a lot of the same card scanned multiple times, is that just showing you have more then one of them?

Just an awesome collection. Congrats for getting this far, George.

I was thinking of something, since you're grading the framed cards. Let's assume that you have a red auto in a frame. The card itself has 3 dinged corners. The frame it's in is perfect. Would PSA just be grading the frame? I can't imagine that they would be grading two sets of corners on the same card (inside "mini card" corners, plus "frame" corners.) So hypothetically, if they are just grading the frame, what would prevent you from just resubmitting some of the lower-grade cards jerry-rigged into some gem mint frames? I realize it's a little unscrupulous. But it doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to do a professional (ie - PSA wouldn't be able to tell) job of putting one of those cards into a new frame.

I'm not saying, I'm just saying.

Wow- great set to collect, and congrats on your progress. Thanks for the scans. That checklist seems to have a little bit of everything!

Too bad that Billy the Marlin card is not an auto RC though :(

Topps featured Billy the Marlin in their 2007 Opening Day Baseball series, card #198.

What would be great is if you could get all the scans the same size. What is this amateur hour on the interwebs? Jeez. :benson:

The Mini inner card is apart of the grading, so yes all 8 corners affect the grade. Many of the 7s and 8s have dinged inner corners. One of the frameless autos came with a frame from the packs, when if first went to PSA it was returned too large. Topps could not replace the frame so I cut it out, completely fine to do so.

its sad to see the invisible man's auto getting worse and worse. Would it kill the guy to take his time for just one signature.
That example was a post-stroke version, so it definitely has gotten worse.

Great set! Wasn't there someone here with a bunch of A&G Wright autos in their sig? I think one of them was red.

With regards to the Invisible Man card, does an actual signature appear under UV light or heat?

Black Light is needed to see the signature.

that's awesome
