I'll pick Heyward, as he's the best right now, but I still think there's a good chance Stanton turns out to be the best overall, likely not by much though.

A reasonable top 5

1.) Heyward
2.) Stanton
3.) Montero
4.) Smoak
5.) Posey

Fin.

Smoak was high on another list and I just don't think he belongs in the top 5. If we're talking about all prospects and not just hitters, I think Bumgarner is easily a top 5 prospect and would take Smoak's place.

Smoak is good, but not top 5 good. At least not to me.

Nobody comes close to Heyward right now .

The Poll should be who will have a better career

Justin Upton or Jason Heyward

Offensively, it is a lot closer than you may think

Heyward's season:

103/314 .328 AVG 16 HR 24 2B 41 BB 44 K .408 OBP .576 SLG .984 OPS

Montero's season:

117/347 .337 AVG 17 HR 25 2B 28 BB 47 K .389 OBP .562 SLG .951 OPS

Also, Montero apparently didn't like playing in Trenton even though the park multipliers cancel out.

Home: 22 games 19/82 .232AVG 2HR .354SLG .630OPS
Away: 22 games 34/85 .400AVG 7HR .718SLG 1.175OPS

My top three goes like this:

1. Heyward: Of course.

2. Montero: He strikes out a lot less than Stanton and his power has come along.

3. Stanton: He is only three because of his K's. He will be the best out of all of these in two years time, maybe less.

Short term...Heyward and Montero are best bets. But long term, Stanton is going to be a star.
