Heywards effect on other players prices

I thought this was kind of funny. I made an offer on some cards on Ebay and was told my offer wasnt enough because Heyward is in the same set and sells for a lot more.... :benson:

I can see it happening for sure.

People look at Heywards pricing and say" If he can be that high, why cant Laporta, Moustakas, Price, etc etc etc etc?"

Because of the crazyness that is Heyward, I wont be shocked if other highly touted guys go up slightly in value.

Big spikes like Heyward are definitely good for business. The whole market has seen a lot of downshifting over the last few years and spikes like this will only show people that there is more potential for the rarer cards. For some who just started collecting it may be hard to imagine times when a base Chrome of David Wright was $600 and a Bowman's Best Ryan Howard was $800. While we may never get back to that point, there's room for an upward shift in the hobby IMO.
