It seems that basketball inserts and parallels are steadily climbing on the secondary market, especially the harder pack odds from 90's and early 2000's.

What are the most collected/graded/popular sets?

I've also seen Gold Label Reds of Class 3 or Inserts that are #/25 go for crazy money. Guys like Shaq, Barkley, Kobe have sold for well over $200 with BIN/BO.

got this for $30 in auction format.

While I'm talking about gold label, the leather variations of the jersey cards can go real big too. I think the Miller ended for over $200, and I can only imagine what the Shaq would go for. An Austin Croshere just ended for $65 in auction format. I think I got a steal on this for around $20.

1996-97 Z-Force Big Men On Court

Can someone tell me the difference between Die-Cut and Non-Die-Cut?

Is it an error? or planned version?

I don't know about die-cut vs. non die-cut but there is a z-peat parallel with a foil background.

I'd say that's an error. I've never seen or heard of a non diecut one before.

OK, so we know Michael Jordan is the crazy point for these inserts.

What sets are THE most bid on and bought/collected? We're talking insert/parallel sets that even the commons get amazing action.

Trying to compile a list of them. I'm of the baseball mentality when it comes to 90's inserts. Now I'm trying ti understand the basketball side of this.

What's considered amazing action for non Jordan stuff? The Jamabalaya's and PMG's still sell high other than Jordan.

97-98 Ultra Star Power Supreme sells pretty well. This kobe sold for over $100, which is pretty good for a non auto, non gu, non numbered card:

Also, 97-98 Ultra Stars Gold. This Hill sold for $150.

this is a fantastic thread.

how are the wax boxes from these issues availability in 2010?

Not sure, but the easiest pull of a lot of these inserts is 1:288 or something crazy like that.
