I only post a handful of mailday posts a year, so I'm making them count. It probably looks like I'm a bazillionaire, but I sold off some other patches and will sell off a few more to pay for some of these. I have a habit of buying cards I think are nice, then finding a better one later on and selling the first one.
It looks like a button came off this one.
Bottom of the K?
Fleer is known for butchering together patch cards, and this one looks like a sleeve patch on the left combined with a team name logo patch on the right.
I found two more for my 2003 Timeless Treasures HOF patch set, both /15.
After a nice BIN and Bing, this Feller was only $49 shipped.
Not the nicest DiMaggio patch, but after Bing it was $256 shipped. However, I have no idea where on the Yankee jersey is there a patch this skinny.
This one popped up when the 2009 set came out, and bought it for less than the price of a 2009 Bucky Dent patch.
This was a very gracious present from Bigfan5.
I bought a bunch of nice cards via BIN from one seller, including these five. They might be slight steals, but these are deep back in the PC.
I love the design of this bat barrel set. I would like to get all the HOF players if possible.
The button prices have come down, which means I can get modern HOF button cards for “cheap.” These 5 were a total of $360 shipped.
I bought a Bo Jackson lot just to get one button card and a laundry tag card.
!!!!!!!!!Steal for $170 due to seller’s bad title!!!!!!!!!
I wasn’t going to buy any 2009 Sweet Spot Classic patches because the prices were too high, but I found a couple nice BIN’s. After Bing, the Bo Jackson was $81 and the Eddie Mathews was $205. The Sparky Anderson’s were selling for over $100 initially, but I waited and snagged this one for $70. I’d like a Fingers and Hunter, too, but not until the prices come down a bit more.
I keep picking up jumbo Flair cards because no one likes them. These were about $36 each.
Before 2005 Prime Patches, there was 2003 Fleer Patchworks with an entire set for commemorative patches. They’re hard to find, though. My snipe was definitely higher than the $25 I won this for.
Not game-used, but he’s one of my favorite players so I decided to buy it, anyway.
I couldn’t believe I won this for $34.
A low BIN + Bing = $206 shipped.
I’ve always liked Helton, and this is my favorite Letterman set. $80 seems like a decent price.
One seller sold off his Glavine collection, and I got this one for a $120 best offer. I probably could have won a few more if I had offered more, but oh well.
The first one looks like it might be part of the W.
