Ok, so the card is legit, great.

When the hell was he nicknamed "Bulldog" :?:

Is it possible that these cards were an error on Donruss' part, never destroyed, and then made their way to outside folks? I don't remember him ever being called Bulldog. Mad Dog, yeah, but Bulldog?

The card is legit. The auto is good and master series autos are not numbered.

I was going to say the samething, I have oddly enough heard him called Bulldog before and was like what
I thought it was Mad-Dog

Card is legit, I actually pulled one myself out of 05 Donruss Signature. They were several players (Pudge, Rizzuto) that were not originally released in 2001. The cards are still listed in Beckett. Not sure where Bulldog came from though. Actually sold it on ebay shortly after I pulled for $400+.

I didn't say it was for sure fake, just that it could have been. After seeing that they had some old inventory go out without the autos and serial numbers, there is a big time potential chance for fakes.

If Steve says it's real, then I have no doubt it is. Steve has probably forgotten more about Maddux than I'll ever know.

I was thinking it was fake because of the number of leaked out blank sig cards in that set. Also I was unaware that he signed something that wasn't his nickname.

Maddux's autograph is not something I am prepared to make a real/fake claim so I submitted a PSA quick opinion.

I honestly wonder why he signed them with the wrong nickname.
