Me, I prefer on-card sigs but I also appreciate having the option of picking up an auto for less money even though it is a sticker auto.
The thing I think is hilarious is how some of you take it so personal when it comes to defending your favorite card company.
You'd think someone just called your mom a **** or something.
You give the rest of us card collecting geeks a bad name.

Hey if it makes anyone feel better, I can 100% guarantee everyone here that I was pretty much a geek before I even started collecting cards!

All you have to ask is "Who shot first?" and you'll see the geekdom that is prevalent on the boards :geek:

I'm surprised how well the autos on silver sticker autos look. They look the best and boldest.
On card autos can fade real quick if let out in light. One of the Topps retired sets they did has horrible fading problems. The best on card autos are the ones with more of the old school stock. Like Heritage products. Those always look great.

chances are that card saw significant time in a dealer's showcase, either in direct sunlight or under a florescent bulb.

Yep, you leave any auto out in light for a few months signed on anything and it will look like that Bay. I remember going into card shop where dealer had auto cards out left for months and years and on some both blue and black ink were faded badly to point some were almost gone. Couldn't believe a dealer could be that stupid to not notice.

My whole point is coming form the people who are saying "if you don't like sticker autos don't buy them or the products" ........Well that is what is going to happen because more and more people wont touch them and its going to bomb the sticker auto market.... I know many of the high end collectors I deal with who wont touch stickers autos anymore.. these are they guys pumping thousands of dollars in this market a week.... once they are out on something it like a waterfall......just watch

YOu guys smoke some good **** up there in New England!!

Don't get me wrong, I prefer On-Card over Sticker any day, but stickers have been around for more than a day, and they won't be going anywhere.

Nope. You just don't understand. People are going to stop buying Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, and other HOF autos that are on stickers.

You might as well just send me all those Ripkens and save yourself the heartache.
