Hobby thoughts from non collectors

The thing that usually kills me is that many of these questions come from women who spend $500 on a purse or $150 on a pair of shoes or $300 on a dress.

Or else guys who spend $200/week at the bar, or blow a grand at the casino in one night.

Yes! This is my reasoning, especially the drinking part.

I get alot of people that I work with come up to me and say "I collected cards when I was a kid (late 80's/early 90s) and have a bunch of Shaq RCs. Are they worth anything? Or people will ask me help in putting a value on what they have.

Exactly, at least I got a few thousand cards for my $200/week. All he got was a headache, bad memories and a DUI. Last I checked, you couldn't sell any of those on eBay.
