yes they are using last year's Winter Classic jersey as the alternate. I really like the alt mask as well. the puck marks and the chipped paint effect looks great.

as for the yellow jerseys I would imagine we will see them when the Pens are in the WC again in 2 seasons :lol:

Last Monday, I went to the Hurricanes vs. Sabres game. The Sabres were having a "slug appreciation" day. If you wore a "slug" jersey (hat,t-shirt, etc.) you would receive 41% off the same item with the current logo. I didn't have a new jersey and couldn't pass up the discount. I met my friend at the Sabres store and the lines were extremely long with very few jerseys left on the racks. They were giving out rain checks so I was able to pick up a Myers jersey at Saturdays game against the Maple Leafs.

very cool Myers jersey and 41% off is a great deal. congrats.

the Penguins have said Sidney Crosby he will most likely travel with the team on their road trip to Western Canada to start the season.

Been a while, but my favorite time of year is rapidly approaching!

I've been loving the pre-season! As usual, controversy running rampant. Almost like it follows the Flyers. From Shelley's suspension to the banana toss to telling Avery something he already knows, it's gonna be a long season of trying to defend the boys. :lol:

Only thing that sucks is that I'm working nights again so I'll be missing a bunch of games. BUT, going to a group night a friend of mine organized when the Kings come to Philly on 10/15 followed by my usual autograph hounding. First game in 2 seasons. Working will allow me the chance to go to every Friday and Saturday home game though.

Thanks Dave Good to be back. Needed a break after the bottom fell out of Bob's cards last season. :lol: But with the new guys on the team, it's all about the new chase. Just not sure who to go after yet.

the Penguins improved to 5-0 this preseason with a 4-2 win over the Blackhawks last night. Brent Johnson had an incredible game in goal and stopped 35 of 37 shots.

the Pens wrap up their preseason in Detroit on Sunday at 5pm.

The Pens lost their final game of the preseason to the Red Wings today 3-2.

The Pens finished with a 5-1 record. They open the regular season on Thursday night in Vancouver.

sometimes I do feel like I am talking to myself.

hopefully this season the Pens have Crosby and Malkin for the Playoffs and they can beat the Lightning and their 60 year old goalie.

I want to get Wild tickets to a game or two this year, but I don't know if I'll be able to afford it. They are running a special this season where you pay $55 and get two tickets, two pops and two hot dogs. So I thought about doing that with my fiance. It still ends up being like $70 something after fees and taxes though.

So I totally forgot the Wild do a ticket promotion for college students. You can get a lower level corner seat for $35 a piece to select games. The tickets are normally like $70-75 a piece. So it's a hell of a deal. They have them available for the October 13th game against Edmonton. So now I'm really tempted...

I just hope NHL season has some passion and hate this year. Last year we had some, but it is getting so rare. If Shanny keeps giving out all these stupid long suspensions. We are going to get euro ***** hockey at it's finest and a lot more seats will be empty.

Was awesome seeing a team like Boston win the cup. I was hoping would carry over to more teams playing a north american style of passionate tough hockey. Then this preseason it has turned into euro ***** hockey a lot. That won't float in many cities outside of Detroit, Tampa, Montreal.
