Of course when/if Dawson get elected, I will have an enormous HOF collection

Though he can never be in the HOF, would this be the place to show and talk about Pete Rose?

Mighty Bombjack- Larkin was solid. I think he makes it, but I'm not sure about first ballot. I would have to see who else is on the ballot next year. That's not a slight against him in the least, more so the voters. On a down year, I think he definitely gets in because someone has to go in. I say if he's worthy, it shouldn't matter who else in on the ballot, he's worhty.

With guys like Bert Blyleven, Lee Smith, Jack Morris, Tim Raines, Mark McGwire, and Andre Dawson returning from last years ballot, I don't think any of the 1st year eligible players will get in next year. The newly eligible players for 2010 are: Roberto Alomar, Kevin Appier, Andy Ashby, Ellis Burks, Andres Galarraga, Pat Hentgen, Mike Jackson, Eric Karros, Ray Lankford, Barry Larkin, Edgar Martinez, Fred McGriff, Shane Reynolds, Robin Ventura, and Todd Zeile.

I think Alomar, Larkin, and maybe Martinez are the only ones with a chance to eventually make it in. I don't think any of them will make it on the 1st ballot though. If recent voting trends continue for guys like Bert and Dawson, it's entirely possible that nobody gets in next year

I love how every single HOF "show-off" thread includes at least one Roger Maris card.

Not hammering anyone, it's just interesting. Clearly Maris is perceived to be in the Hall of Fame simply due to his importance in the game's history and the #61. No doubt, chicks dig the long ball.

I am a Ozzie smith collector. So I have quite a few HOFamer cards. I recently started picking up vintage. I have a coworker that is offering me a 1957 Hank Aaron card for $50. Its pretty beat up. Creases some tape marks, but I like it. Also have a few HOF autos on the other site. Link in my sig. heres a pic of one I dont want to get rid of but times are tough.
