Hi, folks. Time for another contest. This one is really straightforward.

1. The 2010 HOF Ballot features 26 players

2. The person who correctly predicts all 8 scenarios below will win a complete 192 card set of 2009 Goodwin Champions Gypsy Queen minis

3. Each contestant may make up to 5 predictions, but they may not mix and match them across scenarios. This means that a complete 8 scenario prediction with one player named per scenario counts as one entry.

4. Along with your prediction, please predict the total number of votes you think Fred McGriff will receive. In the event of two contestants getting all 8 scenarios correct, the one with the closest number of actual votes received by McGriff without going over will be deemed the winner

5. Please PM me with your prediction(s) no later than Tuesday January 5th, 2010

Any questions, please ask. Good luck to all!

Scenarios

1. The 1st place vote getter
2. The 2nd place vote getter
3. The 3rd place vote getter
4. The 5th place vote getter
5. The 10th place vote getter
6. The 15th place vote getter
7. The vote getter closest above the 5.0% cutoff rule to remain eligible for the 2011 HOF ballot. This includes any player who received exactly 5.0% of the vote.
8. One player who you think will receive zero votes. In the event no players receive zero votes, the player(s) with the lowest vote total will count as a correct answer

Don't forget to predict how many votes you think Fred McGriff will receive!

Not quite in the "millions", but to be fair this is hardly a flip of the coin. Actually, the only real crapshoot may be the 15th place vote getter or the 5.0% guy. An educated guess should be all it takes for the other 6 scenarios.

By this, I mean that only a small number of players could even be reasonably considered for a given scenario (no one will be slotting Segui for anything other than the zero votes scenario or Alomar/Dawson/Blyleven for anything lower than 5th).

You catch my drift, I hope!

Sorry, folks. No one even came close to winning this contest. The best result was 3 for 8. However, many names were just one or 2 slots off.

The good news is that this great set can be featured as a prize for a future contest. Stay tuned...

I don't get anything for being within one for Fred McGriffs votes? :P (not serious)

Edit - Cool, a moral victory. I was the only person with three right. Should have been four if not for some moron voting for David "just over 600 RBIs" Segui. :) Thanks again for the contest!
