Man that Padres hall of fame plaque has my name all over it. Wonder how close it goes to the estimate?

....for one-of-a-kind items like that it really would be hard to figure out an ending price. That is a very cool plaque, especially for anyone with San Diego ties or interest.

Good luck!!

Yea, definitely don't have $2k to spend on the hobby but I'm wondering if it would be worth it to sell some of my nicer cards to help fund it. Wonder if it would ever go lower than the estimate? No one cares about the Padres, right?

....well, maybe folks will have no idea who Ted is (based on earlier posts) or not pay any attention to the item since he only played for the minor league Padres in the 30's.

Pushing it a little here though.
Unless this is sarcasm, you've set the bar pretty low for every single one of your future posts.

so amazing, I'd go broke on some of the stuff. but, I don't go after any splendid splinter stuff if it's not baseball related.

The only thing bad about this was I told one of my employees that Ted Williams stuff was being auctioned and he said "Who is Ted Williams?"

I live in Massachusetts, he's a 22 year old male. How the f does that happen?!?!

i run across a ton of people who dont squat about sports, i don't get it either. Thats usually the first thing i ask someone i just meet at work. "Do you like and/or follow professional sports?" If they say no, i then know we probably won't have much in common or being having many conversations on the job ::facepalm::

sweet auction though :o

Oh man there are a few Marine items I'm going to win!

Hope you win all of the Marine stuff, brother. The EGA pin and the pendant are awesome, but the military ID is the fracking coolest item to this former jarhead.

The main tunnel in Boston to the airport is the Ted Williams tunnel. He isn't just a sports figure.

I told the kid to ask his grandfather who Ted Williams is, and then duck as he takes a swing at him.

So much of this stuff is just absolutely jaw dropping for a baseball fan.

These are my favorite so far...

May 4, 1946 Ted Williams home run baseball hit off of Bob Feller

This is definitely the item I'd go for of the lot. Incredible

Some of that stuff is ridiculous. I do not think I have ever seen a full name signed ball from ted williams. That ball is awesome and possibly a little under estimated.

There are several items that, if they go within the estimated price ranges, I'll be very happy to win.

Anyone else planning on actively going after any of the items in the auction?
