Very cool, I tried to get a TTM or Earnhardt Jr about two years ago and got a fourm letter allowing me to join his fan club and have stuff signed but he wasn't signing any other requests. Same for most of the top drivers. I was trying to complete a TTM auto set for my twins who were born in 2006. I tried to get as many players to sign their 2006 Topps cards in baseball and the 2006 season for both of Nascars top series.

Funny, I've received almost every driver back from NASCAR........far and away the most obliging athletes in all of sports......I think the only NASCAR TTM I never received back was of Jr...........until today :D :D :D :D

Congrats on the sweet auto
I would say golfers are the best signerspretty much every current golfer signs excluding Woods

On a saide note I think Jeff Gordon has the most fans.

Nope......a studt was conducted last year that found that DEJ had more fans than the next 4 drivers COMBINED!!!!

Haha, so true. Around here Gordon probably has the least amount of fans. It's funny how being good in NASCAR while also being clean image-wise is not the formula for popularity. The most popular drivers are the good ole boy guys who people think are like them. NASCAR is by far the biggest sport here in NC. I don't care that much for it, but it has more to do with not being into racing of any kind. It's just not my thing. Thus, I like baseball which most around here consider to be the worst and slowest moving of all sports.

So true in every aspect!! NC is definately the heart of NASCAR country...

Funny your point about Gordon.......cleanest image, great guy, all around champion and one of the best ever........but he didn't grow up in the south running the dirt tracks so he's not accepted (far from it). People think he's a pretty boy from California.

Like you said, people like the good ole' boy, the reckless southerner....a la Earnhardt (Sr.). The press perpetuated this huge rivalry between Gordon and Earnhardt......and it never existed!! They were actually the best of friends!!

Well too...nascar has come a long way from its original roots.Back in the day...if someone put you into a wall or did something a little crappy while they were on the track with you ...at the end of the race they got out and beat the crap out of each other.I can't remember who said it but somebody mentioned "Nowadays the worst that will happen is somebody might throw an empty water bottle at you".Its come a long ways and people like Gordon are looked at as too clean cut and mr. nice guy for the sport.I don't personally have any problem with him but I like Tony Stewart, Mark Martin and Dale Jr. and Sr.My mom actually cried when he died.We were watching it and I will never forget it.

But a lot of people feel like Gordon is nothing more than a yuppie trying to enter into the sport.Thats why he is not as liked as some of the other drivers.I like Dale Jr. a lot but there is a lot of people who only like him and follow him because of his father.Thats a big shadow to be under.

congratulations. this gives me hope that my card I sent 4 years ago may show up soon. a friend of mine did get me Dale's autograph in Richmond and I met Dale Sr in 1998. NASCAR drivers are by far the best TTM'ers.

I agree w/ you.........the sport has come a long way from it's early days....your example reminded me of the 1st televised Daytona 500 ("and there's a fight!!"). Gordon is a tremendous talent and, yup, he is, and always has been perceived as a pretty boy in the sport......it's largely because of him, though, that the sport has grown tremendously in recent years.....Gordon was the 1st one to open it up to a national (and now international) audience.....

I personally am a fan of Jr. I was a huge fan of his Dad.......actually my Dad has always been a huge fan and got me into NASCAR when I was in High School (1988-1991). My first favorite driver was Kulwicki........only b/c he drove the Hooters car. Then I became an Earnhardt far. When he passed, like most everyone else, I latched onto his son. I can't stand Stewart and Harvick.........big crybabies!!!

Swarzak - Don't worry, my 6-year-old is a JJ fan as well........except his is purely bandwagon!!! He's going with me to the Vegas race in about 8 weeks!!!

Buccos - Nice Pickups!!! Love both of them........I have to agree.........NASCAR drivers are the best TTMers AND IPers!!!!

Nice success. I think almost all of the drivers try to sign for their fans. Richard Petty is a great TTM signer. I've got Dale Sr. & Jr. back over the years. The only driver I've gotten a letter back saying that he wasn't signing right now was Tony Stewart.
