The 6 look amazing together!! I'm still on the look out for the red and according to your math, I have 10 years to go... oh boy.

agree w/ flightposite. such a horrible title how would anyone find it to get it anywhere near 150 other than a description search. personally, crusades=overrated. but kudos for a very dedicated player collector.

Card collectors are pretty darn savvy at finding eBay deals. If you are not doing a description search, you're going to miss out on some great finds. Every player collector should do their daily eBay searches with their player's name in quotes with the Search Titles & Descriptions box checked. You'll won't find a lot of extra cards, but the one's that you do you'll have less competition for. Plus, you'll often turn up a card of your player that is listed in a bulk lot.

P.S. Epix = ugly cousin of Crusades :D

It's kinda crazy how many FCBers and collectors live in McHenry county. Do you guys go to Dreams and Heroes or Prime Time?

I live in Lake in the Hills, and am 5 minutes from Prime Time. I know John the owner, and he gives me a discount, so I go there, even though selection is lacking and he doesn't stock enough new product. I'm going more online for mostly everything these days, but sometimes you just gotta support your local card shop, so they don't go out. I recently lost my favorite shop, Legends in Hanover Park.

or the ugly stepsister. the crusades are gorgeous and the chrome-like stock is awesome but i hate how in the 90's inserts revival theyve been pushed to the forefront of the "it" card to have. ~youre so not cool if you dont have one.~ i of course dont have any of the bagwells but was fortunate to snag a konerko and millwood red on sportlots for 20 a piece! and flip them on ebay for 150 and 80! hahaha.....sigh

Man Brad, you "killed the odds" this week for your PC. Congratulations and, yes, what a horrible title the seller had in the original auction.

Cant begin to tell you how happy I am for you Brad. One day I hope to have a Walter Johnson page like your Grace and Cap Ansons. No way it happens until my funds improve.

I completely agree with the bolded part. I search at least twice a day for "bret* butler" with the "title and description" box checked. The one thing I forget to do is use goofbay to find other mispellings or mislists.

BTW, great pickup, Brad - very happy for you. When I clicked the link for the auction and saw the .50 ending bid, I was stunned - then I saw that the seller ended the listing early. It was then I noticed the rest of your story about meeting the guy and the final price. Well done!
