Kinda crazy. I've noticed this happening a lot over the last year especially on ebay. If a card looks gradable from the scan, it often sells for more than it should (and sometimes for the same amount as if it was already a BGS 9.5).


I can understand throwing up a bid slightly higher than a card that does NOT look gradable, but bidding about the same amount as a gem sells for is pointless. First of all, you still have to pay grading fees. Secondly, a 9.5 is never a guarantee. Ever.

So many montero chromes look like 9.5s, that statement doesn't make any sense
