Hot Damn! lol

His gold ref just went for $157 and his blue ref for $45!

His lowest gold to this point went for $118 (I wonder who won that :D :D :D )

With the next lowest being in the $130's, so his gold have strong history.

How about (45) REF autos or his Red auto?

I agree. I think that's one of the reasons Blue Refs are popular.

Why are these auto cards of rookies so much money? They have proven nothing at the major league level. Is it just a gamble?
Well it's certainly not a guarantee.

Prospects almost always sell for more than their better MLB counterparts. Why? Potential for growth. We all know what to expect from a player like Hanley Ramirez...All-Star selections and MVP votes, but prospects can get on a profit filled hype train and never need a shred of MLB success to make a few bucks.

That said...there are about 5 people on these boards that I would respect their prospect opinions and prospect buying/selling history honesty.

I've learned a few things over the years about "prospectors" - that vast majority are foolish and completely jaded.

Who?

While I agree to you, $14-$16 for his ref autos is an excellent price in my mind. It won't take much for this to be a $30 card easy.

Decent. But for now, I can think of 2 players who are in the same price range for their ref autos that are FAR better buys at this points in their careers than Borchering...

Can you find them? That is typically the problem. There are a few guys I want to buy, but they might have (1) available at a time, or ZERO.

And if there are only a couple of prospects in all of baseball that you like better at that price, that is good. I personally think the kid is a BEAST.

Yup, they're listed regularly. Hopefully I won't get outbid on one tonight! :D
