Makes me wish I could afford some of the bigger cards that justwar and some of you other guys have of Upton. justwar and some of you other guys have some amazing Upton collections. I'm very happy that I do have my 06 base chrome and 06 sterlings though :D

I think that is the first time I have ever seen the rook walk down the line after he hit that bomb. He looked like Griffey lol.

I was going to wait until at least the all star break, but since you mentioned Griffey....

Age 21 stats:
Griffey (1991) .326 BA, 22 HR, 100 RBI, 76 R, 18 SB, .927 OPS
A-Rod (1997) .299 BA, 23 HR, 84 RBI, 100 R, 29 SB, .846 OPS
so far, after 40 games
Upton (2009) .313, 9 HR, 26 RBI, 26 R, 4 SB, .1011 OPS

I just wish an unproven 21-year-old, with not much time in the MLB, who seems to go on a terrible cold streak just as quickly as his torrid hot streaks, would FOR ONCE not spend 10 seconds walking down the first base line watching his home runs.

He's gonna get one in the ribs here soon from someone who takes that the wrong way.

The kid may be the most talented 25-and-under player in the MLB....try just putting your head down and jogging from the get go, he may get more respect from his peers instead of just his teammates and hobby enthusiasts invested in him.

EDIT: I would like to add I'm very excited to see how Justin Upton's career pans out, he's obviously a very talented young man.

I don't really see how relevant A-Rod is in this. A year earlier, at 20, A-Rod finished second in MVP voting. Upton is amazing, but cherrypicking stats to compare doesn't really make sense to me.
