DIDnt know where to post this when i was younger i had 2 loves .. horse racing and baseball cards. there was 2 racetracks( rosecroft and delaware park) that would do a weekly card show during live racing and it kept me interested in both usually with live signers. i remember getting boog powells auto as well as some former orioles when i was younger. well my idea is they shoudl do a card show at pimlico racecourse in maryland or laurel.. i mean it makes sence the horse racing industry is struggling and so is the baseball card industry so it would be great to get kids involved in 2 of americas pastimes. i love the fact that goodwin added horses to their product in 2009 and again thsi year. actually i still need afleet alex hair card if anyone knows anyone that has one let m e know.. also what do you gusy think and anyone here from md think its a good idea

Delaware Park has added the casino tables and high-end food, so they probably wouldn't be a viable option.

Don't know anything about Pimlico, but we have some Baltimore guys on here that could answer that better.

I DO know that Card shows in general have gone way downhill, and IF they're around, they're usually pretty lousy...

TRUE THEY have and as for delaware i go there every week the outside picnic grove area is very family oriented during the summer with moonbounce for kids and basketball court and grill and volleyball so it wouldnt take much when u walk in from the track side theres a basement type area with enough room for a 40 or 50 taBLE SHOW AND maybe a signer just an idea ..

They need to be smaller and set up in areas where cards are relatively new for them to be good.

I love horse racing myself and am stoked the Triple Crown is underway. I might hit up Canterbury this summer for some live action.

I loved it when Bob Baffert was included in A&G as an auto.

A horse racetrack hosting a card show is like a McDonalds selling blankets... or a bowling alley hosting a scrapbooking seminar...or a walrus in a hot air balloon...

Hollywood Park (racetrack and casino) used to host shows on the regular so it isn't abnormal in my mind.
