Figured I'd beat Phil to the punch this morning and ask you guys who should make FCB's weekly Hot List.

As for #1 overall, there is no question nor debate on who is the top dawg.

Anything and everything from the Jay-Hey kid. The one Bobby Cox is already drawing Aaron comparisons to.

Who else?

Elite SP Autos as a group. Tolliver, Cain, etc.

I think Joseph has outsold them all. I saw one end at $70 the other day.

I think Jeff Samardzija... he will be getting some increase very soon

News: Cubs RHP Jeff Samardzija, who is competing for the fifth spot in the rotation, impressed pitching coach Larry Rothschild in his early pitching session Thursday, according to MLB.com. Rothschild said the former Notre Dame wide receiver has gone from looking like a football player who was pitching to a pitcher who played football. "That's a big transformation, and that's a really profound statement as far as I'm concerned," manager Lou Piniella said. "It says he's making the adjustments and really stepping forward and looking like a major-league pitcher." Analysis: Piniella has noticed the transformation himself. "He's throwing the ball smoother, with less effort, and his mechanics have improved," Piniella said. "He looks like a major-league pitcher on the mound. He's got natural talent. It's just a question of refining it. We're going to let this guy pitch, and around the 20th of March, we'll see exactly where he's at." Samardzija has always had the ability to become an overpowering starter in the majors, but his lack of refinement has forced him to spend most of his time in the bullpen so far. Maybe this transition is all he needs to win the job and become relevant in Fantasy. Keep an eye on him this spring, but he's looking like he might quickly become a sleeper.

Devaris (Dee) Gordon Contenders redemptions. Not kidding. I wish Panini would hurry up and get him to sign so I can have my live one!

Ryan Miller, on the heels of great goal keeping in the Olympics

The star of the tournament is Jaroslav Halak right now (goalie for Slovakia). And his cards are hotter than hell on ebay, especially his 07-08 Auto rookies from SPA, The Cup and Hot Prospects.

Starlin Castro has seen a pretty swift increase in price this week. Raw Blue Refractors are going over $50, Raw Xfractors are around $35, A raw refractor sold for $28, and his base chrome are selling high too. There is a lot of six base over $50 right now and a single base over $8 with a few hours left.
