How did Topps make this huge Sonny Gray error in BDP?

I thought this seemed weird last night when I first saw the plate listed, but I finally realized what I saw was a blunder by Topps.

All of Sonny Gray's cards have him wearing #2 for his jersey, which is what he wore in college at Vandy.

Now take a look at his yellow printing non-auto plate.

Yep, you saw it correctly. That's #72.

It turns out that all of the non-auto cards have #72 and all of the auto cards have #2.

Whoever is in charge of Photoshopping their cards should be fired....this is just getting way too ridiculous.

Huge mistake? Lol...

A huge mistake is placing players in wrong photo shopped jerseys (i.e. Levi Michael and John Hicks).

I still have not bought any and probably won't because of this. It takes one day to look over a product and do a few google searches to realize if you have it right. And you guys continue to buy this crap which just shows Topps can give you a mediocre quality product and you will continue to buy it.

Dan Damache in a Twins Uni should be pirates
Levi Michael in Rangers uni should be Twins
Bradley or Bundy that says 4th rd pick

I had only seen the autographed version so I didn't notice this. But seeing Sonny Gray wearing any number other than 2 is odd. Not sure how the 7 got there. If I was the op, I'd be pretty mad too.
