My team - Falcons - loved the pick of Julio Jones since I'm a Bama fan and he was such a great college player. Then I saw what we give up. Some are concerned, some are furious. Eh, I think it's a great pick that offsets the drawbacks.

Compared to AJ Green - Julio is a better fit for Atlanta. More physical, faster, work ethic. Dropped passes still a concern but he will get better with it I have a feeling.

Love the play to get a top receiver to match Roddy. We can still get a defensive playmaker in free agency. Always seem to get better results that route on Defense than in the draft.

I'm not a big fan of the Cowboys selection. They could have gotten a RT in the later rounds and gotten a 3-4 DL who would have had a huge impact on the defense. Free was fine at LT so I don't know why they needed to add a guy who might be a LT in the future.

The Browns got alot for #6 pick but Taylor is an odd fit in the 4-3. I understand the Gilbert Brown comparision but I don't think that's a wise selection in the 1st round. IMO Austin would have been a better fit in the 4-3.

I love the pick of Heyward for several reasons. He is a good fit for the 3-4 and the Steelers have a pair of aging DE's. Drafting Heyward to pair up with their 2009 1st round pick Ziggy Hood, they have 2 young DE's ready to take over when Keisel & Smith retire or move on to another team. Plus, Heyward has ties to the area and has family here, so that's a plus IMO.

surprised Carpenter went soon but glad since he's a Bama boy.

very reliable and solid. Seahawks had a longtime pro bowl lineman in Walter Jones from Alabama. Carpenter could be another

The Eagles drafted someone from Baylor. That'd be cool if the Eagles were in the XFL.

They aren't.

Has anyone really questioned AJ's work ethic, especially compared to Julio?

I like the pick for the Bengals. AJ is a hell of a player and probably the smart pick there. Now they need to get someone to get him the ball since Palmer is being a whiny bitch.

Meh. Not sure excited about Aldon Smith.
I'm sure the Titans are stoked that the Vikings took Ponder at 12 and took the heat off them for Locker at 8.

Atlanta's move is clearly an all in push to get us to the SB now, while Turner and Gonzalez still have something left in the tank. So for that I can't fault them for giving up what they had to give. I would have been much happier with AJ as he is a little better big time play maker I think and he would have put a lot of ppl into the seats. Roddy got better with the drops but he still have a few that should have been easy catches in big spots but he usually came back and made a bigger play later. Hopefully we don't have the issue with Julio.

My team hasn't had a pick yet (Raiders), but that is fine as i have been very pleased with the player we got when we traded away our 2011 #1 pick, Richard Seymour.

I'm with you there. It seems like every year the Steelers snifff out talent thru the whole draft and stars are born.
