How do we get card shops more involved with FCB?

Perhaps this is a dumb question, but assuming it is your hope to get more LCS's involved with FCB, what do you hope/think this will accomplish?

The thought is most likely that if the shop is involved then they will get there customers involved. There is only three customers of Jeff's that I know that are part of the boards. They are you, John (blackandsilver) and myself. We both know how many customers he has.

I assumed that may be the case, but was not sure.

I could see a financial downside to it as well for FCB so I was just curious if the trade off was thought through properly.

Here is a idea,not sure if its any good though.

How about a cash mob of some sorts? Like have like 20-25 or more shops that are close to members locations, and pick a day or weekend to go there and buy things,but 1st would need to make sure dealers have what the shopper is looking for.Also make sure that shop takes all forms of payment.Not sure if this would work and might need some tweeking,but it might work.It would also require some pimping of FCB,not sure how,there has to be some ideas available.

Gilmore, please stay FAR away from my LCS! If the owner of my LCS learns how to use an computer and finds FCB, the price on all of his rare 90s singles, 90s wax and Teks will triple. Then I'll be sad.

Maybe have a monthly giveaway where people who spend a certain amount at a lcs are entered into a drawing each month here for a card, cash, gift card, etc. For instance say for every hundred dollars spent in a given month at an lcs, the customer, who must be a member here, is given one entry into that months drawing. The lcs would have incentive to tell their customers about FCB, those customers would have incentive to register here and spend more at their lcs, and FCB would get more members and maybe more advertising. Members would just have to scan and email a copy of their receipt or take a photo of it and email as an attachment as proof before a certain date and time to be entered.

Can we get stickers made? I'd put them up at Target so the packsearchers would know how close they are to a hobby shop and just go there instead of wasting hours driving around to Targets to ****** packs.

Everything revolves around give aways!! Pretty sad statement about the hobby.. collectors and shops aren't motivated to appreciate the benefits of a community without getting some swag.

Facebook is the easiest, most cost-effective way for stores to make an online presence. As such there are tons already there, some of them even doing contests outside of a "local only" audience, (like mine)
