For me when it comes to the Phillies the player has to be in a Phillies Uniform. I just saw Josh barfield is now with the Phillies and i checked to see and I have his rookie auto in the Padres uniform. I will not move that to my Phillies collection.
How do you do it? Do you care if they are in your teams uniform?

New York Mets

Every Pack issued Topps Base Card featuring a New York Mets player on it, LLs, Post Season, AS, Mutil-RCs, etc, as well as Topps Traded.
Down to needing three cards: Seaver RC, Ryan RC, and Ike Davis Pie

Also working on Donruss and Fleer when they made MLB Cards

I was working on that idea for the PHillies but cooled off a bit. Now I am only doing 1970-now. I am about 80%. I am just not doing the traded. It is hard beacuse peopple cal them "team sets" and they dont include the all-star and so forth..

They have to be in a White Sox uniform or one of their affiliates' uniforms (such as the Birminham Barons). I'll also count them if they just have Chicago/White Sox on the card regardless of uniform, such as recent EEE cards.

I was going to say on the cheap.

After reading the post.......yeah I'm with you. It needs to be in the team uniform (or if minors or college - designate the pro team), don't care if they played 2 games......I'd still consider it a PC card.
Teams switch teams so often - if I did it otherwise, seems just about everything would be "PC" at some point. Guess that's part of why I figured the jersey/logo makes it a card of my "fav team".

The only time it stinks is when it comes to rookie cards. A lot of guys on my favorite teams that don't meet that requirement.....but there's so many products, so many players, there's always something else to collect.
Also if I pull an auto/gu'd of a guy that used to play for my team, or in a different uni.....While I wouldn't say it's part of the "PC" - I also usually don't list it on Ebay, usually hold on to it unless I used it in a trade.

I DON'T collect my favorite team. I do my best not to buy autos of the guys that I will meet... there are some exceptions, like I own a Perkins/Morneau/Liriano auto... After I meet them, I buy their stuff.

I do, however, collect Gopher baseball cards... like my DEEE stash, and I recently found out that Dave Winfield has a Topps card in his Gopher uni. Molitor has at least one, and I have the auto'd version.

I will pick up base of Stingers when the go the the bigs, but other than that... I try to stay away from Twins cards. Next thing I know I am being offered boxes and boxes of "old" Twins cards. We used to buy them like that, and it just recently came back to bite me in the butt.

Ya I will only collect cards of players in Cubs' uniforms; for the most part I really only collect home grown players.

I'm not that picky, I try to pick up whatever I like of current and retired Dodgers players, in a Dodgers uni or not. It really depends more on the card itself, if it's nice enough, I go for it.
