almost every card costs $20 just to ship on Ebay, do you just have to wait for someone near you to post a sale?

This is the reality for Canadians shopping for cards on ebay. Combine that with a currency exchange that adds about 35% to the total, and it's pretty much driven me off ebay.

I buy more on comc.com, and when I do buy from ebay I also use the comc.com mailbox service. It provides a US-based address to have stuff shipped to, then they ship it to you for cheaper than what ebayer sellers charge. It works out that you pay the ebay seller's shipping, plus about $3 in comc.com fees for a single card. Then comc.com's flat shipping rate is about $5 for unlimited cards. Worth checking out.
