I think they should have chose another brand to jump out of the gates with.

Collecting a ton of football I know Prestige is pretty low-end and not as aesthetically pleasing as other Donruss/Panini brands.....it's really just a product to pick up some of the first rc's.
So I guess my point it, there may be basketball fans who aren't familiar with the football brands and see this as a poor first effort from Panini.....when in truth it's pretty much what should have been expected.

And I agree on the sticker thing.....though I've thought that about quite a few Donruss products. The only thing that's worse is when it looks like that and the player signs the card in blue pen (yup, not marker, just a regular old pen)...which Philip Merling did last year ::facepalm::

I'll be opening 5 boxes tomorrow.

I think Prestige is a good product to start with for Panini. It seems to have a little more juice than the fb Prestige normally does. I think it's smart of them to start with a mid-level product, rather than something like Absolute or the lower-end Panini Base set.

I've been picking up Meeks cards like crazy!

Oh, I'm aware of the "first-ones-on-Ebay" prices I'm paying, but a couple of them are #/25, and, well, I'm just impatient. ;)
