I think in some cases, starting with the more pricey cards can be a better way to get into the project. That way the hill won't be so hard to climb.JackLondon said:There are some insert sets that I am super close to completing, but the remaining cards are both super scarce and super pricey.

I started collecting the 2000 Greats of the Game set when it released, picking up a couple boxes and topping out at a Yaz auto for cards. Took 10 years off that project and jumped back in when someone listed the entire set. I picked up a lot of the short prints (Yogi, Yount, Spahn, etc), a handful of the average priced cards you don't see often, but not the biggest fish (Schmidt). Now it's a slow paced trek through the set, but it's not hard to find most of the cards. Just a classic set that I've always wanted. I'm not nuts enough to do one of the real tough sets with /25 or such.JackLondon said:D-Lite said:I think in some cases, starting with the more pricey cards can be a better way to get into the project. Very true. I hadn't planned on completing the set when I started. By the time I did, too late!
