How do you think I did on this Yount purchase?

So, Topps Series II just came out, and in it is Robin Yount's first base-Topps autograph, maybe ever (as part of a legit insert; IDK, I have to check). Now, between other Yount collectors and Topps set freaks, I figured I had to come strong, so I won this guy for $125. I'm happy with the price, so I know that's all that matters. Just curious if anyone else agrees that I had to come so strong, or if I'm the guy that over-paid for the first one. Obviously, a few other sales will let me know exactly, but the car is 9/10, so this could turn in to the 2000 UD APoH 3000-Hit Club thing, which I would ultimately regret.

I like it! I just wish they'd gotten them on-card.
Yeah. With all the Yount autos that Topps is going to have this year (it looks like) only about 25% are on-card (Tribute and Gypsy Queen notably) BTW, did you see my recent Recollections pick-up?

I think you did fine. Even if others sell in the $80 to $90 range, it isn't a huge premium to pay for a tough hit like that. It's also possible you'll end up with a bargain after others sell.

Great pickup! I found that if it's for your PC then it does not matter what you got it for. But I think you did get a fine dime.

I think you did ok on a base Topps insert that low numbered but you're the expert! How much do his Archives/ATFF rookie reprint autos go for? Those are a little nicer IMO but you're right, they're not from a base Topps product. Is there a version of this card with a GU bat piece as well? I saw an Ozzie /5

I kind of hope not on the auto/GU :)

But it'd be pretty cool.

I agree with this. Not only is it PC and /10 but it's a very nice looking card. I wouldn't be surprised to see one sell for $50 less but it may not be for years, and who wants to wait!
