I remember when I lived in MN that tables cost a minimum of $70 for a 2 day show. Here in WA you only pay $25 for the school show and $35 for any of the mall shows. (One day) Very affordable so they usually get a good turnout.

6 months.. since I stopped running it....

Hard to build it when dealers are 1 and done. They expect to make a ton but they don't have a following and charging too much for their stuff..

and when customers see that, they think it will be that way at every show, so they stop coming...

We have a few per month around Indy, but they're the same sellers all the time. If you've been to one, you don't have to go for at least 6 months. My card show has really been Ebay like most people.

Looks like the main show we have here in Phoenix is down to 3 times a year, I'm pretty sure it used to be monthly. There's a few more this time of year at D-backs Fan Fest/other team's spring training fests, but for the most part they don't happen as often as they used to.

I moved to Spokane in 1998 and now live right across the border in Coeur d'Alene. I've never seen a show here...the last one I was able to attend would have been in Portland.

When I moved away from Pittsburgh in 2010, there was at least one just about every month somewhere in the area, often more. This past year there were I think something like 5 shows total, and 3 of those total jokes - some guys selling their 90's star commona at 90's Beckett prices, used toys, and even an aluminum siding dealer. Most of the bigger dealers around here would rather drive to Ohio or Chantilly, and the collecting base just doesn't seem anywhere near what it was a few years back.

The only thing I miss about living in Ohio were the card shows - big shows in Columbus and Cincinnati, and a great monthly show in Dayton.

I've been in Honolulu for the past 4 years and unfortunately the Hawaii National Convention ended before my time here.

The Nutter center! That show never disappoints - always good dealers with good selection when I would go there.

Sadly, the Cleveland area has suffered greatly in the last few years. There used to be a decent show almost every weekend within an hour of the Akron/Cleveland area - we're lucky if we get one a month or one every 2 months now. Almost every show in Ohio is in the Columbus or Cincinnati area, which is 2-4 hours away from me :(

Ummmm...The closest one is/was in Milwaukee about 5 years ago...None in my city that I am aware of

Anyone have a link that would show potential card shows? I know there was a really good one but I cant remember the name

This is the best one I've found.

This thread is making me feel pretty good. My city is way too tiny for a show, but Milwaukee and Madison are within an hour and there are 4 shows between them that I know of. They are mostly monthly. I could also go a bit further into Chicagoland or Rockford. I would have no problem going to a show per weekend within 1 1/2 hours. Guess that makes me an outlier.
