just curious

I don't even know my password anymore but I am curious how many still head over there

I could see if one = no longer interested but I never understood the hatred and bashing toward the site

There was a goofy thread earlier in week about the "end of UD = end of FCB"
Maybe now that Topps (OLD SCHOOL) is only game in town, maybe Beckett (OLD SCHOOL) gains control and is only game in town a year from now ::facepalm::

I still visit just to read some of the posts, and to look for some random cards on my needs list.

I tried using the Organize a couple months back, was a nightmare!

If you could trade and/or sell without the hassle of the Organize, I would use it much more. Like I posted over there, why do I need to upload everything one-by-one in the Organize when I have them all posted on my own sites I can just link?

Plus the loading times are still horrible.

The main problem is, I'd really like to like the site. I have a bunch of different sites bookmarked for cards, and it is at the bottom. They don't do anything when people tell them about problems, they just get defensive.

If they'd be more open to constructive criticism and show a little progress in fixes and things, it might make people more apt to use it.

The posts recently seem to be from people with less than 100 posts that are only there to sell stuff, probably because of the Beckett name. Then they get banned or whatever because of their policies. Do you really think they will be back?

Ive been trading on there over the last 2 months.. I have dried out the other boards of cards I need and now I think I'm close to doing so on there as well. There are good points to the site but its poorly executed for sure. Site remains slow and down quite often.

I went there this morning for information on a certain set and it was down, some sort of SQL error. I'll check their marketplace from time to time.

Im an active member there. I do all my trading on that site, as it seems most of the stuff here is 90% of the time extremely high end. especially the griffey stuff. but I still enjoy seeing what everyone gets here.

The site is like the Cross Bronx Expway in NY.

ALWAYS slow and backed up and IF you actually get on, you wonder why the heck you did so.

The message board seems to attract a different breed of collector. I'm not quite sure what the difference is, but it's just....different.

Haven't been there in well over a year. No reason to ever since their site turned into a pile of $hit.

I use it to check set info/player checklists and to view BGS population reports.

FCB is gonna be here till they unplug the internets!

I don't get that, either. If there were no new baseball cards, there would still be a community here to talk about everything else--stronger than most folks realize, I think.

I sometimes go there for info or the marketplace for singles and half the time I can't get on the site because it freezes up. Just an atrocity of a web-site. One of the worst I have ever seen.

It was a really bad attempt at humor, by someone who enjoys Topps being the only game in town. He thought that since so many people on this site are not happy that there is now a monoploy in MLB licensed cards we would all just leave the hobby forever. But never fear YOU are stuck with us for a long, long time.

And for the OP, I go to beckett everyday to check the status of upcoming Rodeo card products.

Beckett? Never. Waste of time (mine), waste of space (becketts website), waste of air (the members on that site).
