So, I am finally down to the last two cards before I can finally close the books on my Matt Holliday collection. Those being Matty's rarest Rookie Cards: '99 Bowman Chrome International Refractor and '99 Bowman's Best Atomic Refractor. I've never paid attention to any listings on the bay, so I am afraid I don't have a grasp of how much the cards have sold for in the past. Burbank has a Bowman's Best up for 200 or so, but I have a feeling that's not actual value of the card? If anyone knows how much I should expect to pay for both or one of these cards, please feel free to elaborate.

If you have any of these cards, I would be willing to purchase once I'm properly informed. :)

I'm not sure of the prices as I don't follow those types of cards at all, but its safe to say that burbank usually charges within the range of 150-200% regular sell value. For rarer cards they charge even more.

If you've got the funds I saw go for it because those may be cards that don't show up to often. Otherwise do what most of us do and hold out until one them come along.

I kind-of suspected that. :)

Hm, I'm in no hurry to obtain these cards, so chances are I will hold off until they are listed. Both refractors are numbered to 100, so I should expect one or the other to be listed about one to two times a year.

Thanks for the advise.

I actually have that card on my watch list. I think - for that card - 75 is a bit too much. :)

I've seen that one, as well. However, I'm only a Rockies Rookie Card Collector, my good-man. Thanks for the heads-up on these beauties.

Well, I decided to pursue GU cards at one point, in the past. I've always been a RC collector, however , and I'm happy to report that I'm off the wagon (or back on it - however the saying goes). ;)

I don't search for these but the last international ref I came across recently went for $50. Sabathia's normally go for $50 though one did fetch $100 in completed. Based off that, I'd expect the atomic to be $30-$40.

+1 good call. This is one of the sellers I was referring to in a different post - he bids on all ebay supers with a max bid of $35 every time.

So obviously he paid a lot less than the $75 he is selling for it here.
