I see.

Checking an email about a seller selling a Holliday Atomic-Refractor, I see that he gave me his full email without any deceit, to try and sell it off eBay. Was this a recent implementation by eBay?

It's been around for about 1-2 years now if I'm not mistaken. They used to just shoot you an email to notify you that you were in breach of terms, like a slap in the wrist. But now, as with most other problems, they just suspend and delete auctions without warning.

To get around it, I usually hark hobby message boards (Here, The Bench etc) to see if the seller is a member or any member knows the seller, and I contact the seller through the boards or email. It saves a world of hurt that eBay can provide.

Hope this helps!

Messaged the bidder and asked, Why he didnt counter offer what he wanted?.. No response yet.. Just dont see why he didnt in the 1st place and all he did was decline and say i was to low and wasnt worth going any further. If it sold for 450 the 1st time around, Why not counter with that or higher? I can easily flip the card to plenty of collectors near me.

Some sellers think keeping the interested parties on a leash and being vague will result a higher offer.

It's sorta messed up, but I guess whatever works for them.

I'd see if he would agree to a price that you want, and then ask him to revise the auction to a BIN for that amount. Then you can get the Bing discount as well as Ebay bucks.
