I just love how a lot of people (not saying anyone is doing it here) are all over Randy's jock about how great and ageless he is, and how he's a threat to everyone he fights no matter what, but when it comes to his fight with Brock, Brock just beat and old man and it didn't really mean that much.

Randy isn't everyone's hero in defeat against Lesnar like he is in fighting everyone else, Brock just beat an old man.

Anything to take away from things Brock have accomplished I guess.

People are already ALL OVER Shane Carwin and Todd Duffee's jock straps about how they are the two greatest things since siced bread, yet everyone's quick to discredit Brock.

And why? Because they don't like him, plain and simple.

I hate lot of fighters, but I'll never discredit their ability like a lof of people do with Brock.

I think Carwin is a more polished mma fighter then Brock,he has 12 fights to lesnar 5.I don't know about most people, thats why i like Carwin better.I believe Carwin is the best HW in the UFC and we have yet to see his groundgame,if its nearly as good as his standup, then he will be the UFC Chamopion for awhile.

I still think Fedor/Overeem would beat any hw in the UFC without much of a problem, maybe 2-3 years down the road,Carwin,Cain,Lesnar will top Hw in MMA.

How can you slam Lesnar for not proving anything, especially in his win over mir and say that Carwin is a more polished fighter when his only really notable win is over Mir? Carwin has more fights but his first 8 fights were cans that any HW on the UFC roster would probably beat. Gonzaga and Mir are his only respectable wins.

Come on now.

Go look at Shane Carwin's record.

He may be like 12-0 but he's not fought but like TWO fighters who are actually worth anything.

His resume is filled with a **** load of cans.

If Lesnar wanted to do that for a few years, as big of a freak as that guy is he could take 5+ fights for three years and be like 15-0 before ever even entering the UFC.

Then he'd get killed for not fighting top competition. And you know he would.

But he took one tune up fight against Kim just to get a feeling of what it'd be like in a fight, then he said enough of that ****. If he was going to be a mixed martial artist he wanted to prove himself against the best, so he wanted the UFC Heavyweights instead of a bunch of cans. A former UFC HW champion in your 2nd pro fight is no small task.

You people would be killing Lesnar if he took the same career route as Carwin, who's basically got a record full of ****** competition sans Mir and who, Gabe, yet he should be so much more respected than Brock apparently.

So, Brock couldn't finish Herring, neither could the almighty Fedor. Herring is one tough son of a bitch who can take a beating. And I don't think Brock WANTED to finish Herring. He never tried one time. He wanted to inflict as much pain as possible on Herring who had talked **** about Brock's pro wrestling past before the fight. And he did an excellent job at that. Herring STILL hasn't fought since!

I admit that I hate Lesnar. Thats no secret here. I just don't think he deserves the ranking a lot of people have him at yet. He hasn't really shown all these "skills" that people go on and on about. I've seen some good wrestling with brute strength. Thats pretty much it so far.
Carwin hasn't really been tested yet. That fight should be interesting. It could go either way.

Its all a mute point because I think that within a year or two Cain will be better than all of them.

I won't comment on Overeem because I haven't seen much of him since he's bulked up and became a heavy weight. Obviously his striking is world class as he has KO'd some pretty big named K-1 guys. When he used to fight at 205 his gas tank was terrible and he didn't have the greatest of chins. I really hope he fights regularly and eventually fights Fedor.

I do think that Fedor would beat Brock at this point in their careers. I don't think that Lesnar would be able to finish him and I think eventually Fedor would tap him out. Probably not in a triangle though as it was suggested earlier because Fedor has never ended a fight with a triangle. I'm probably going for either an arm bar or kimura.

I am really worried that Fedor is on the downside of his career and by the time he ends up fighting these guys, if he ever does, he won't be nearly the fighter he was during the prime of his career.

Brock's shown me that he's working and working on becoming a great mixed martial artist. He trains like a machine, he's working on kicks, as he's shown in all of his fights. He's shown that he's willing to learn to become better and smarter after the first fight. He's shown that he can remain calm when things aren't going particularly well for him, ie when Couture nearly had him in him on his back in their fight, when Couture nearly had his back in their fight, when he was cut open in their fight as well, and when Mir threw the flying knee that he admitted knocked him a little fuzzy.

I'm not saying he's the greatest fighter in the HW division right now, because he isn't. But Carwin isn't any better than him. People want to give Brock **** for being a one trick pony with his wrestling, but Carwin is a one trick pony with his punching. And you know what? That may just be good enough for both of them to be great fighters in the HW division. Just like Couture. His wrestling made him one of the most beloved fighters ever. Stick with what you're great with and gain other skills to make you even better and you'll be just fine.
