Long story short:

1 BGS slab, $13.29 for priority mail delivery. All of his other auctions have either 2.99 or 3.99 for priority mail, and a pair of nike shoes are sent priority for $11.99. Corrospondence below....first time I sent him an email I didn't mention the price, it may have been an oversight he stated his auctions have all different delivery prices and many are priority mail.

Hello again, I received your invoice and still it has $13.29 for delivery. I have checked all your other auctions and you mail a pair of shoes for less money. I sell these graded cards frequently and it costs me less than $1.75 to send it first class mail which arrives in 2-3 days. You can overnight ship this item for less than $13.29. I stated earlier that I do not need this item this quickly, first class mail is adequate. Please let me know what we can do so I can send paypal for this item.

Thank you.

$45 slabbed 9.5 BGS.....seller has 39 feedback, giving him the benefit of the doubt....what would you do if he insists it is $13 for del?

Should've asked the question before you placed a bid.

I would of asked before I bid. Not saying that the seller is right for what he is charging, but his price posted for shipping was clear to you. I would not ever assume that there is a typo in a sellers description. Ask first IMO.

Spur of the moment thing, sometimes it can't be helped. Poor guy, I am going to crush his DSR with only 39 feedback :?

Is it set-priced shipping or is it calculated shipping? He may have mistyped the dimensions in wrong, too.

It was an auction and said it at the top under the current bid price......I honestly didn't even notice it I was too busy setting up the snipe grabbing the auction number........

He has another slab up:

[ebay:1hzi2ciq]280356879120[/ebay:1hzi2ciq]

For 3.99 shipping, I can't imagine he holds me to the 13.29....where the heck did he come up with that number for being a typo?

I find it amusing that you will "crush his DSR" for overpriced shipping that you agreed to pay when you won the auction. By bidding and winning, you agreed to the terms of the seller's auction. Typo or not, in a hurry or not, it was your responsibility to see what he was charging for shipping and see if you were alright with that. By bidding and winning, it says that you were.

I think it would be a really ****** thing to do if he holds you to the shipping and you wreck his DSRs. If he holds you to it, just own up that you should have paid better attention and move on.

I find it amusing that people view it the way you do. One of the DSR categories is "How reasonable were the shipping and handling charges?" So even if he agreed to it, he agreed to pay a VERY unreasonable shipping and handling charge. That's one star in my book.

I hope you aren't serious. Why don't you do an experiment and see how many people think the way you do.....change all your ebay listings to $13 delivery and see how many 5 stars you receive.

Not to start a flame war but you are the moron....not the seller. First, if the shipping charges are clearly stated in the auction...you have nobody to blame but yourself. Period. Many times, you will get the card at a discount to the market rate if shipping is high since most intelligent bidders factor the S&H charges into their final bid. This could work to your benefit if the seller agrees to a reduced shipping rate....which brings me to my final point. You created this thread without giving the seller a chance to respond to your question.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Why call the guy a moron before you hear his response? Pot. Kettle. Black.

ok , so you are mad at the shipping . i always look first at shipping, and always add it in to my final bid. now i have not bought anything off the bay in a while. however you my friend should suck it up and pay the shipping. why , because it is YOUR fault, for not reading the shipping rate. so because you think you ripped( which you did not , and if you did again its your fault), so you wanna destroy this guys rating, over your own mistake. real mature.thats my 2 cents...

Actually, you are quite wrong. He said he randomly picks the items he wants to send priority mail in some half ass email that made very little sense.

The same item ended days earlier for $3 LESS (not counting shipping) so it wasn't like I got a great deal on this.

Can you or someone else explain to me how even though he agreed to pay the shipping $13 is a reasonable shipping charge? I'm in agreement that he should probably just pay it, and this thread is kind of pointless, but I don't understand people trying to protect the seller's DSRs.

Anyone actually READ what the ratings say?

"How reasonable were the shipping and handling charges?"
"How satisfied were you with the seller's communication?"

Reasonable? 1 star.

Satisfied with random shipping charges? 1 star.
