I went to the LCS today to open a few packs. I started out opening 3 packs of SP Authentic football and I got 2 auto's, including the patch auto. Ronald Johnson was the Patch and Ras-I Dowling was the other auto, ouch! At least it only took 3 packs!
Then I noticed that they added a box topper this year. I didn't know what was inside and neither did the owner. He open one and got 2 SPX cards and a SPX auto jersey of Steven Ridley. I asked him what he wanted for the other box topper and he said $15, so I said sure. I opened it up and it was a SPx Jersey Auto of Andy Dalton. Pretty good, but even better, it was the gold version 14/30 and it's numbered out of his college and pro jersey #! I saw another gold sell for $175, so I am hoping to get at least $200 for this one.
I then bought 2 packs of Bowman Sterling Football and the box topper for $5. I got an Arian Foster Blue Ref Auto /99 and then a 2 color Patch Pulsar Ref Auto of Kendall Hunter /15. The box topper was a ref dual relic /75 of Ponder and Rudolph. I got a blue ref /99 of Julius Thomas and 4 base relics: Julio Jones, Randall Cobb, DeAngelo Williams and Greg Little.
I spent $135 for all of this, so I am very pleased with my return. I will probably list the top 3 hits on Ebay later tonight. Let me know your thoughts, thanks for reading!
